Technology Self Assessment

This self-assessment instrument is designed to help you determine the levels of your knowledge and skills as related to each of the 8 Technology Standards established by the Illinois State Board of Education. Use this survey to help you document your beginning abilities, to make a plan for how you can learn more about teaching with technology, or to document your abilities at the end of your student teaching.

Complete the personal information and survey items below, using your best judgement to describe your level of competence with each of the performance indicators numbered 1a through 8a. When you finish all the items, click the "Submit Survey" button at the bottom of the page. You must complete the survey in one session. Your answers cannot be saved for later completion.

When you finish, the results of your survey will be displayed in this window. You can then save the web page to your computer and later use it as an attachment in your portfolio. Alternatively, you can print the page for your files or share the results with your instructors and fellow students.
